+PERSONALITY:

Loyal:
"I would do anything for you!"

Because Charlie is so used to taking care of his twin, he is extreme loyal. He wouldn't dare stray from a cause, nor leave a friend in need. It wouldn't be right of him, or so he feels. He will always try to take a moment to think just how his actions may affect someone close to him, weighing out his options before doing what's best for his partners, and because of that, you can usually depend on him.

Courageous:
"Come on, quit bein' such a pansy and man up!"

He's extremely brave and tends not to let his fears show when he's leading an expedition or exploration. Not saying that he doesn't get scared though sometimes, oh no; even the bravest of the brave can get nervous, but they don't show it. Which is why he keeps his fears bottled up inside of him quite well. Outwardly, he's cool and collected, no one would even know the difference.

Confident:
"Psssh, of course I can do it!"

Charlie is extremely cocky and very sure of his own abilities. He would never second-guess himself or show any self-doubt. Because of this, however, he may come off as a little narcissistic to some...sometimes even snappy or sassy. If you say that he can't do something that you can do, he'll try to prove you wrong without even missing a beat. He's extremely competitive like that. He's also likes trouble and pushing people's buttons sometimes, a hint of his mischievous personality.

Short-Tempered:
"What did you just say?!"

Beneath that smile is a hot-headed nerve just waiting to be struck, always on edge and easy to burst. His anger is as quick as a summer storm: strong and hot and then gone as if nothing had ever happened. Charlie's anger can sometimes blind his judgement, if provoked enough, and he'll usually end up saying the first thing that pops into his mind...be it insult or some secret you'd told him and now he can use it against you. Occasionally his anger can get a little...on the explosive side and he won't hesitate to lash out at something or someone, and that's usually the best time to throw down on some Heartless for him. If you get on Charlie's bad side, he won't stop himself from pranking you a few times.

Impatient:
"GAH, you're so slow, hurry UP!"

Charlie hates delays. He absolutely loathes them; he needs things done in a timely and quick fashion, and thus hates waiting for decisions...results...people, anything of that nature. He won't hesitate to leave you behind and not wake you up sometimes if you're oversleeping. His impatient manner and short-temper go hand-in-hand usually.

Possessive:
"This is MINE. Get your own!"

Don't take his stuff, simple as that. He'll go into a fit. But by 'stuff' it doesn't always have to be materialistic things... Once he gets attached to a person and becomes really close to them, he'll gnaw a stranger's head off if they tried to take said person away from him for even just a minute. His group of close friends, and his brother, is like a pack for him...he won't let others into the "pack" so easily. He'll often vie or compete for attention when he feels like he's being neglected, and overall can come across as clingy.

+HISTORY

Twilight Town.

That was Charleston's home...where he grew up for a large portion of his life. With his father, who was more often at work than he was at home, mother, and twin brother, Cameron, he led an average life, nothing too fancy. He and his family lived in an apartment complex, allowed to run freely about and do as he pleased since their home was on the first floor.

Charleston was quite the mischievous one in his childhood, and most of his mischievousness tended to steer towards the school days. He had no shame in occasionally pretending to make a fart noise behind a kid so that everyone thought the kid farted, nor was he shy in saying that he sometimes switched around papers as soon as he could get a hold of them. Along with his twin Cameron, the two were natural pranksters. It was especially fun to trick people into thinking that they were one or the other.
And speaking of Cameron, Charlie was practically inseparable with the boy. He wanted to do everything his brother did, go where his brother went...even though he was the one usually leading the two. And whenever something happened to Cam, Charlie tried to always have his back. And vice versa.

Ohhh he could remember the time when he set all the clocks in the house so that everyone would wake up earlier than normally. Why? Because he had a prank to set up, and he didn't need his mother's incessant fussing or his brother's oversleeping slowing him down. So, his clock plan a huge success, Charlie led the way to school once they'd gotten out of the house. When the got there, instead of going straight to the classroom, Charlie led them to the bathroom.

"What exactly are you planning, Charlie?" his twin asked of him.

"You'll see..."

The latter of the two wasted no time in filling a decent-sized bucket with water from the sink, and once it was filled to the brim, he marched towards the vacant classroom. With the help of Cameron, Charlie placed the bucket near the metal hinge of the door...the mechanisms that would cause the door to open then the bucket to fall. Though his twin didn't understand, he wasn't protesting either. Charlie sat in his seat as if nothing were wrong. Soon the teacher came in and all of the water poured down onto her, giving her a nice little shower for the day. Oh he had never laughed so hard before! And certainly Cameron's laughter only made Charlie laugh even harder.

It wasn't surprising in the least that the two boys were granted with a half-an-hour detention, nor was Charlie all that shocked when they got a stern reprimanding from their mother. But would that stop him? Pfft, heck no. He was already devising more pranks that would be as much of a success as this one had been. He just needed an audience for it now...

The second prank was an even bigger hit, especially since he and Cameron had the classroom watching the events unfold. The two twin pranksters had put some tacks in people's seats...Cameron sticking with people he didn't know and Charlie going for some of the people he did know, as well as the teacher. And boy did the teacher scream loud that day, and no one ever knew it was the two of them...

Years passed them by... Charlie was quite satisfied with the reputation he'd built up at school as a pranking duo. Sure, sometimes a prank of his turned a little foul and he got punished for it when he was caught, but that never stopped him from pranking the next day...and the day after that... He found himself having growing addicted to pranking and it was hard for him not to do so.
By the age of sixteen, allowance was a regular thing for him and his brother. He often spent it on pranks that wouldn't even last more than a day or so, it was rare he spent it on anything else like his brother. Besides, Charlie wasn't the wisest money spender out there anyway...he didn't like saving money if he could blow it all on something. On his little shopping excursions, sometimes Cameron would point out a little black creature with emotionless-looking yellow eyes... He never paid much attention to it though, but enjoyed teasing Cameron that it was a figment of his imagination and that he was going crazy.

But as time passed, it was a little too hard to ignore the creature...Charlie had to accept the fact that the thing was real and could potentially be harmful to them--harmful being scaring the two boys out their minds. They woke up their parents in a panic when one of the black things had gotten into the house. Their father attempted to bar the thing in, telling them to take their mother and get out. And Charlie couldn't believe what he was seeing once they did leave the house.
Everywhere, their home of Twilight Town seemed to be...dissolving before their very eyes. Along with the dissolving appeared more of the strange black creatures with yellow eyes. Bystanders, including Charlie and family, attacked them in fear, but it seemed to do little to the creatures, who successfully managed to back the small handful of citizens into a dead end.

Charlie remembered feeling defeated and weak as he waited for the pain that the yellow-eyed creatures would surely strike down on them. He hated that feeling...absolutely hated it. But just as things were turning even bleaker, a bright light glowed in his hands. Confused, and a little nervous, Charlie waited until the light died down before taking in the key-like sword now in the palm of his hand. Never before had he seen such an object...was it even safe? He looked over his shoulder to see that his twin had gotten one too. Thank goodness this craziness wasn't only happening to him. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that these key swords could be used as weapons, so with Cameron's help, they managed to push the black creatures back. Though it wasn't long before the dissolving of Twilight Town swallowed them all up, plunging them into darkness.

Once Charlie came to, he looked around his unfamiliar surroundings. Where was he? Had he died and was this some strange purgatory? He pinched himself and found that he was definitely not dead. The Eevee noticed that his family was unconscious not too far away from him...all except for his dad, who he did not see. Still, he went about waking up his mother and brother.

"...Where are we?" it was Cameron who groaned this groggily after being awakened. Charlie only shrugged before catching wind of a name that the few people in the area were mentioning. 'Traverse Town', or so they said. He himself had never heard of it, and his family didn't seem to know much of it either. But one thing was for sure...

They certainly weren't home any longer.
